🏙️ Cabo San Lucas: Energy and Convenience

Cabo San Lucas is the best-known side of Los Cabos, with the marina, El Médano Beach, restaurants, shopping and nightlife. Grocery stores carry familiar U.S. brands, and private hospitals and English-speaking doctors are close by.

If you want to be in the action but come home to quiet and ocean views, look at the gated communities: Pedregal, on the hills above the marina; Quivira, with Jack Nicklaus golf on the Pacific; and Diamante, with private golf and a beach club.

🎨 San José del Cabo: Culture and Community

San José del Cabo is the calmer, more traditional town, with a colonial downtown, art galleries and the weekly Art Walk on Thursday evenings during the season. Many full-time American families live here because schools, hospitals, shopping and the airport are all nearby.

The top communities here are Puerto Los Cabos, with a marina and golf; Club Campestre, with golf and ocean views at more accessible prices; and Querencia, one of the most private golf clubs in Los Cabos.

🏌️ The Tourist Corridor: Privacy and Ocean Views

The Corridor is the 20-mile stretch between the two towns, with luxury resorts, golf courses and gated communities. It is ideal if you want privacy and the ocean, and still be about 15 to 20 minutes from either town.

The main communities are Palmilla, the most established luxury address in Los Cabos; Cabo Real, right in the middle of the Corridor; and Cabo del Sol, with oceanfront golf and private beach clubs. Some of the calmest swimming beaches in Los Cabos, like Chileno and Santa María bays, are also here.
