Who owns Querencia? Querencia Los Cabos has been owned since August 2017 by an ownership group led by the McCloskey family of Aspen, Colorado, including Ryan Elston and Lauren McCloskey Elston. Querencia opened in 2000 as Cabo’s first private golf club. After the purchase, the new owners invested more than $60 million in the community, including a new oceanfront Beach Club, new restaurants and golf course improvements.
