Gary Player’s course sits on the hills above the CostaBaja marina, at Km 7.5 of the road to Pichilingue, about 10 minutes from downtown. It plays as an 18-hole, par-72 layout through desert terrain with views of the Sea of Cortez on most holes. The resort area includes a hotel, beach club and marina, and the nearby Pedregal de La Paz is the city’s most exclusive residential area.
Arthur Hills designed this links-style course on the El Mogote peninsula, across the bay from the Malecón. It measures 7,039 yards from the back tees, with five sets of tees, and Golf Magazine named it one of the best new international courses in 2009. It’s part of the Paraíso del Mar residential community, with condos and homes whose owners can join as members.
